Puppet Master 4 (1993)

4/10 Some ok and cool moments but mostly bad. Puppet Master 1,2 and 3 are good to ok but this was the worst so far.

Star Wars: Rogue One

I did NOT like it, ahh, I can feel the flurry of boos and thrown popcorn.

The problem with Rogue One was the characters. After 2+ hours, I couldn't name half of the crew. Some of the them like Juan Solo were down right irritating.

Lots of lines of dialogue were botched. My favorite character was Donnie Yen's monk but he was clearly working with a language coach for each scene and lots of his lines came out confused or misplaced.

Another big issue was the story. If you watch the original movies, the Empire Strikes Back you don't see a caption that says "Hoth: Location of secret rebel base" because you know what is going on. In ten minutes, Rogue One has like six cuts to six different planets.

SPOILERS Hey-o!

1. They go to Jedha to get a transmission from Saw who promptly dies

2. They go to generic Imperial mine to meet Jyn's dad who promptly dies

3. They go to paradise planet where everyone promptly dies

What was the point of step 2? Why is Juan Solo upset that Jyn's dad is dead when it was his mission to kill him?

I like the idea of individual stories set in the Star Wars universe but I did not like this one.

Same for me. I don't think Donnie Yen's character's name was even said at all in the movie. If it was, it was only one line. I think in general, none of the main characters were very well developed. This is probably Rogue One's biggest flaw.

Don't remember this at all. Do you have any specific examples?

I don't see the problem with this. It's a quick way to establish the setting. I did think it was a little weird how much they shifted locations at the beginning, though.

Wasn't he having second thoughts about his mission at that point? Besides, the real question is why didn't her dad just straight up say how to blow up the Death Star? (Answer: because then there wouldn't be a story.)

Rogue One has some problems, yes, but enough to make you write it off completely? I've seen people say it's the best movie since the original trilogy...and I'm tempted to agree with them.
Also, at Juan Solo.

The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.
Mr Magic
The Wedding Singer

A 1998 movie centered around 1985. I love a movie that involves the old days. Adam Sandler has always been one of my favorite funny persons and Drew Barrymore is great in this too. She just looked so lovely.

3 1/2 stars.

More thoughts on Rogue One-

Great action but not much else

I love Red Letter Media, but I have to disagree with them here.
Why not post the complete review while you're at it?

Hail, Caesar

3/10

I know that studio bigwigs prolly got some extra chuckles at this parody of old hollywood but I found it to be a complete waste of time. The plots go nowhere and all of the celebrity cameos are in the trailer. Literally, Jonah Hill has one scene. Channing Tatum has 2 scenes. Scarlett Johanssen has 2 scenes and that's all.

Also, the "mystery" of who kidnapped George Clooney's character, I had guessed before even seeing the movie. Again the trailer gives it away.

I like the Coen brothers but this was a dud that they sold to us all gold. I would have been very mad if I had paid money to see this.

I haven't seen No Country For Old Men, but near as I can tell, they haven't made a good film since Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?
