I'm watching The Mechanic (2011).

Just finished watching Men In Black with my daughters for their first time.  Ages 8 and 10.  They really enjoyed it.  It was about the 5th time I've seen it, so it starts to get a little old, but felt fresh watching their reactions to it.

Was a good movie on the first couple of viewings, but now so many viewings have dropped its rating for me.  I'd still put it at a solid 6 out of 10 though.

I love watching movies like that with the kids for the first time. It's a bit like it all becomes new again, as you see them enjoy it.

What's really great is our ClearPlay Blu-Ray player, which allows us to enjoy all of our movies without worry of your kids hearing (and then repeating) certain words, or seeing too much violence and such. I highly recommend ClearPlay.

I'll have to look into that ClearPlay thing.  That would make selecting movies to watch with them much easier.

The Substitute

Very compelling action/crime drama.

Even the most incorrigible students can be taught something.

Jurassic World.

I don't know if I've just become a movie cynic or what, but this did nothing for me. The Mercedes plugs were so distracting, at least in JP 2 they were just in the background and didn't have cameos. I seemed to know exactly what was going to happen in this movie, play by play.

T Rex fights Hybrid? Check.
Aqua Croc kills Hybrid? Check

I found it bizarre how the T Rex paddock was like a 2 minute walk from the main square. This movie was almostTransformers but with Dinos. Too much action, the first one had that suspense mingled with emotion. Remember when the chick was eating ice cream with Hammond when everything was going wrong? That was a movie. The only cool things about this movie was the cute redhead and the fanciful notion Chris Pratt was the fat kid who scoffed at the raptor skeleton in the first movie.

Land of the Dead

Great modern horror epic! George Romero can still make a good zombie movie. I thought this one here was smarter than he looked.
