The Guest (2014)

9/10 Great thriller. Great synth music score and soundtrack. Suspenseful. I like that it was set around halloween time. This movie is so good.

Just watched it tonight and was about to post a review, I agree with everything you said! Great throwback to John Carpenter and super entertaining! I would highly recommend it!

Daylight-

One of Sly's generic action 90s action movies. I enjoyed it because it was nostalgic, action movies were pretty much all I watched as a kid. Loved the brief Viggo Mortensen scenes as well.

Top Gun-
Watched this on Blu Ray with the PS3 I got at a garage sale last weekend. Last time I saw this was probably in parts and I must have been a teenager. The scenery in the movie is amazing. Maverick's girlfriend's house by the ocean was breathtaking (Ironically since Berlin is singing "Take my breath away) as he pulls up on his motorcycle. Great attitude and an all around fun film.

Outside Providence (1999)

8/10 I really liked this. I usually like movies that take place during fall time. While i was watching this i realized that i saw some of this on tv like 10 years ago and i didn't know what it was and for years i was wondering what movie it was. I'm happy to now know.

Mr Magic
Transformers. First one.

Stunning special effects among other things. Just a creative, hard-hitting film. Who cares if Michael Bay directed it? I love it!

5 stars.

One from the Heart (1982)

7/10 Cool musical. I really liked the sets and the backgrounds this, they just looked so cool. I liked the part when Nastassja Kinski's character was singing.

I had a 80's double feature night last night, watching two films I hadn't seen in years.

First up was Can't Buy Me Love. With the passing of Amanda Peterson has had me wanting to watch this flick again. It was fun, cliche, and a bit cheesy but I had a good time watching it.

3.5/5

Baby Boom... I remember watching this flick as a child, but other than the movie box I couldn't remember much about it. I was shocked the entire film didn't take place in New York City, but I liked that the movie shifted gears so quickly. There were so many great films about clueless adults becoming great parents in the 80's and 90's, I'd group this in with them.

Mr Magic
300

The bronze, gloomy look of the movie was spectacular, along with the battle scenes! You have to admire the fierceness of Gerard Butler too.

5 stars all the way!
