I know I've been salty in this thread. Skyward Sword and Wii U really disappointed me. But now I say I'm gonna get a Switch for sure, I'll probably wait for a price drop though. I played some Zelda at the kiosk at Target and it seems really good. Mario Odyssey is, as I expected, still a big No for me. Aside from that, I am looking forward to:
Bayonetta
Cave Story
Ittle Dew
Rayman Legends
Retro City Rampage
Skyrim
OK, I know none of those are new games, but you know what? They're new to me. The only one I've played is the wiiware free demo of Cave Story.
I'm also interested in:
Axiom Verge
Azure Striker Gunvolt
Mulaka
Rime
And who knows what else is going to come out? So there will be a lot to make it worthwhile. Now what would really knock it out of the park for me, is if Nintendo does another full-fledged original Zelda game only for Switch, before it is almost at end of life and not also for whatever the next console is.
you're the only one i know who actually hates the newest mario game lol. more time can be spent playing it than a first person shooter campaign and that's saying a lot. unless you decide to cheese the game and spend coins on collecting moons instead of hunting the rest down after endgame.
i hope the cross buying also refers to minecraft as well, i bought the wii u version like a year before nintendo shut down miiverse and building 2D sprites has become a new hobby of mine.

Breath of the Wild is great. Just beat the story and still have stuff to do in it. They are working on another Zelda game already.
to each their own i guess. the camera in the 3d games have gotten better to say the least and they're at least ten times more playable than sonic's 3d games. i haven't heard any news about nintendo bringing back the "new super mario bros." series for the switch, maybe everyone who's played them thinks it's old hat now.
We don't need another "New Super Mario Bros" entry. To me, it's mostly the same game as the first one that started on the DS, with some small enhancements. The one that came out for the Wii was fine as they brought back the Kooplings. But then after that, it felt was too samey. There's no change in the overall style since the very first game for the DS, and for that, each entry doesn't feel like much of a new experience. It isn't like the classic games where each new entry feels a lot different. Super Mario World, for instance, didn't feel like the same game as Super Mario Bros 3, or any the past games. It had the same basic gameplay, but the whole style is entirely different. That's something I don't feel with the New Super Mario Bros games. Plus, the last game I played was New Super Mario Bros U, and got annoyed at it for the fact that it was way too easy. There was zero challenge whatsoever (and the Super Luigi guide didn't help with that).
Plus, Super Mario Maker pretty much makes any new entry in the New Super Mario Bros series completely pointless, as that has custom New Super Mario Bros U stages. I'd rather play those than another entry.
i will admit this looks like a pretty neat idea for kids, but hoo boy, the prices....
the variety kit, which will include the piano, fishing rod, rc cars, house and motorbike handle is priced at $69.99, while the robot kit will be priced at $79.99. i can understand about the variety kit being pretty costly, but why is the robot kit ten dollars more? will nintendo add more games for it? we'll just have to see when both release in april.
