Dead Silent (1999)

Attack of the Puppet People - 1958 - A reclusive toymaker finds a way to curb his loneliness, by making sure no one can ever leave him. This is a solid B movie with a plot that, despite being clearly written in service of the special effects, never stagnates. And said special effects are pretty good. It's a gimmick often seen in low budget sci-fi of decades past, but the execution is competent and diligent. The acting is also good enough. No eye-rolling moments that stood out. The ending is weak, and the attack in the title never materializes. Netflix. 3/5.

Gojira.

The Godzilla movie that started it all. Very intriguing and suspenseful. And the special effects were so well done. I had a blast watching this one!

I'm not middle aged just yet...but that's not entirely out of the scope of possibility.

D2: The Mighty Ducks

I liked the first one and thought I'd give the 2nd one a chance. Needless to say, it was good. It was one of those few sequels that did as good as the 1st film. Nothing like a good sports flick.
