The Snowman (Not Frosty the Snowman but years ago there was a British kid's book called The Snowman about a kid who builds a snowman during the day and then the snowman comes to life at night as he and the little boy have adventures in the house before flying all over England. After the snowman brings the kid home, the kid hugs his new friend good night. The next morning the temperature rises and considering the world is becoming more and more illiterate, I won't spoil the ending. But yeah it was turned into a 1982 tv special that used to air annually on PBS way back when)
