Earliest I've seen is late July to early August from them.

I try to wait till after Halloween, but this year I'm breaking the rule casuse this year has been poop and we need a little Christmas, right this very minute.

I don't have anything against a lot of lead time on holidays, but I do hate when one encroaches on the other. Give them some space! Halloween should get September through October. We take a three week-ish breather for Thanksgiving, then throw the rest to Christmas. I do get that stores need time to change floor layouts and get product set up and all that, so maybe a week leeway.

As much as I love Christmas, I can't truly get into the spirit until T-day is over. Black Friday and all bets are off. Until then, the big guy should stay in the North Pole.

Might need to get that Pokemon mug. As much as I'm not a fan of Hobby Lobby, that mug would be nice.

As I've mentioned before, this is that time of year that I recall some of the music that helped to make the Season Bright beyond the standard Holiday fare.

The strangest has to be Tin Tin's, "Toast and Marmalade for Tea", from 1970

This is an unfinished song because it's a single line of verse, no chorus (or refrain), repeated over and over at just under 3 minutes. These curious little bits on music can become quite popular and were not that uncommon back in the 1950's and 1960's.

In January 1971, during homeroom period, my favorite teacher was asked his opinion of Toast and Marmalade for Tea. He responded, "it's just a pleasant series of musical notes that repeat for less than 3 minutes - and that's what I call a 'musical key', it may come in handy someday".

For 50 years I've wondered - if this is a musical key . . . where is the lock?

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!!
