I'm not having much of a Christmas this year. The most I'm getting is a handheld Carmen Sandiego game I got for myself, and then since my mom's brother is paying for gifts for the both of us, I asked for a t-shirt that has the giant mechanical condor from The Mysterious Cities of Gold on it

I'm watching Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas again. The best part is when Gadget being the dumbs*** he is putting handcuffs on Santa in a dungeon (and all this in a kid's cartoon. Andy Heyward is a pervert! There! I said it!)

i'll be having an aunt come over who lives about 90 miles from me, thing is i haven't seen her in years. unfortunately she's one of the only family members who will join my family, some other family members became trumpers and we kinda lost connection with them.

The Incredible True Story of How Christmas Came To Be (If you're a parent, pay attention to this so you can read it to your children)

THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, before the dawn of man as we knew him, there was Sir Santa of Claus, an ape-like creature making crude and pointless toys out of dinobones and his own waste, hurling them at chimp-like creatures with crinkled hands regardless of how they behaved the previous year. These so-called "toys" were buried as witches, and defecated upon, and hurled at predators when wakened by the searing grunts of children. It wasn't a holly jolly Christmas that year. For many were killed. A war-like race of elves from the Red Planet landed on the ice-encased Earth, and they were immediately enslaved by the unevolved Santa Ape to make his confused toys using galactic elfin technology. Toys were made into recognizable shapes and given names like "train, " but these toys were also thrown at predators and defecated upon because they were so stupid. Christmas still sucked, in a big way.

THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, the ice had made the globe in-navigable. Santa Ape did not know what a North Pole was. How could he? He was born before science existed. So he arbitrarily placed his workshop right here long before they unionized. And Christmas was celebrated at each full moon in front of the great red ape!

"I just watched the 2000 How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Still love it."

I still can't over how much Grinch 2000 sounds like Sean Connery.

Anyway, it's a good movie. Probably better than what the 2018 movie woulda been.

Whatever. Y'all can keep that stupid 2000 movie. The 1966 Animated Cult Classic (but only by default) Special will always be the only Grinch in my eyes. The other iterarions were an insult to Dr Seuss

Here's one of my Christmas heroes from any European Mythology: Krampus. Every Christmas Eve, he finds naughty kids and takes them back to his lair to torment them for their horrid behaviour. He went mainstream a few years back and was even made into a movie but everybody has seem to calm down about him since

Another European Yule Monster I enjoy is Grýla. This witch from Icelandic mythology finds bad kids and eats them on Christmas Eve? Doesn't that infant look scrumdiddlyumptious?
