Hook (9/10)
This movie gets better with age and I appreciate it even more as an adult. It's not perfect, there are quite a few scenes that could be cut like when Tink becomes human size, but Hook is an incredible movie experience. The set and costume designs are amazing. Also, this movie is so well done, it requires a second viewing. You can't catch everything the first time around until you learn the whole story and then it's like woah, everything ties together! |

Elf (2003)
This has become a bit of Christmas tradition for us... to watch this movie together. It's just a great holiday film with a nice mix of emotion and humor. Will Ferrell's at the top of his game here. 4/5 You love this signature.

Terminator Genisys
Reboot or not, I felt it was a celebration/tribute to the original. I'm not sure how people felt about this one, but I just wanted to see it for the action and Arnold. A lot of good stuff in this movie. 4 1/2 stars. "Magic can happen to you."

Army of Darkness (1992)
Still can't put the breaks on Halloween. This movie has been on my bucket list for awhile. Never watched the 2nd one and thought the 1st was ok. This was great, humor was spot on and the production value was great too. I love early 90s swords and sorcery movies. 3.5/5 "klaatu... barada... niARMUNDF!" There I said it!" |
