Anybody else see Shazam! besides me?
I know, I know, it's a DC movie... but this one's lighthearted and funnier than most. It almost feels like the movie Big with superpowers. I give it eight superhero shirts out of ten.

The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

I recently watched the Neverending Story Trilogy....yes, there was a 3rd movie in 1996 starring the kid from Free Willy.

The first two movies are great, the second loses some of the magic and charm of the first but still decent. The 3rd was a bizarre mess where the bully (Jack Black) get his hands on the book and starts controlling Fantasia. The movie abounds with bad jokes and a really bizarre Falcor and sadly no Atreyu.

@jkatz: Not yet watched Shazam!, but I plan to.

Avengers: Endgame

I watched this epic this afternoon, and enjoyed it. It was a very nice conclusion to this huge story arc that has taken place through all the Marvel films so far. All the characters are treated well, and the ending was both satisfying and bittersweet. Well worth the price of admission. No spoilers here. You’ll just have to watch the film.

much like vapor, i too saw endgame tonight. it had plenty of emotional moments and had its funny moments when appropriate for the mood. i just wasn't expecting to be misty eyed near the end. much like how a lot of people have joked about on social media you'll definitely want to take it easy on the beverages so you don't miss anything with a bathroom break.

Yeah, I made sure not to drink anything beforehand, and yet I still had to pee at the end.

Mr Magic
Death Wish (2018)

There's one significant difference between this and the original: No rape scenes.

This is pretty decent remake imo. No worse than what people might say. Ol' Bruce still has it.

3 1/2 stars.

Watched Endgame AGAIN. This time we took the kids to see it.

The second time around, I felt myself wishing the first two acts would hurry up and get over with so I could see the third.

SPOILER ALERT!!

Just caught a matinee viewing of End Game (Awesome, Imax ticket was only $13 and the theater was almost empty) Overall, I enjoyed the film but wasn't really moved emotionally. I felt it reminded me of Return of the King (LOTR) with the quiet ending tying up all the loose ends. I might just be desensitized to all the over the top grandiose action. I did enjoy the character's development (Thor was great) and I wish we could have saw Banner Hulk do a little more smashing (He was noticeably smaller - not sure if this affects his strength) I agree with Vapor in that every character was treated in a balanced manner and all seemed to have a critical role in helping out.

Definitely some gag worthy parts (Pepper Pots in the Iron Man suit and the numerous lesser heroes doing their arm spreading warrior poses as they are resurrected)  But I got hit in the feels with Tony and the Cap'n for sure.

Would I rewatch this whole series again? Probably not. I can and have with LOTR which is usually my baseline for trilogies.

Avengers: Endgame (SPOILER REVIEW)

9/10

Wow, this movie is nothing short of miraculous. It managed to conclude several story arcs while juggling 4 different time heists. I really loved Thor's arc the most and the message that he was still worthy. As Vapor mentioned earlier, there were some 'hell yeah" moments with Captain America as well.

Great movie and emotionally moving, what a great "ending' to the MCU!

My only minor gripe would be that some scenes could have been cut like the Captain American group therapy session. Also, I agree with vkimo that Hulk kinda got shafted. He only fights for like 30 seconds which is disappointing. He basically sat out most of the combat while trapped under a building :/

Oh and how about a mostly female Avengers movie next? I'm down.
