Animaniacs: Wakko's Wish

Like every great animated flick, this is one you can't turn away from. Superb from start to finish.

5 stars!

Gosh, this movie is almost 20 and the animation still looks fresh!

Bird Box (Netflix, 2018)

This movie is a bit like a mix between A Quiet Place and The Happening. And while I enjoyed A Quiet Place (haven’t seen The Happening entirely), this Sandra Bullock film really amps up the feelings of dread and foreboding. It manages to thoroughly give you the creeps without ever showing you what it is exactly that is driving humanity to kill itself off. Some great casting with Bullock, John Malcovich, and the rest. While there is some gore, it’s not over the top, relying more on suspense and mystery.

I recommend this one!

I just watched it last night as well.

I thought it was the love child of The Happening and A Quiet Place as well. I still didn't get how some people reacted differently to seeing the "thing", and it's left open to wide interpretation. Very atmospheric and I was definitely getting the heebie jeebies - much more enjoyable than typical horror movies. Sandra Bullock though, she's had some work done and with her hair kept reminding me of Michael Jackson.

@vkimo: All I know is that the mentally ill didn’t suffer like normal people, instead serving the “things” like worshippers or something

The story was so-so, but the music in the movie was really great.

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad

A while back, Echidna suggested that I watch a Sinbad movie. I think it was this one.

An exciting 50s adventure flick with an amazing use of stop-motion animation.

5 stars!

I'm officially freaked out.

I've always been interested in seeing this film since it come out in 2010. I decided to finally watch it since it was recently added to our cable company's on demand service.

It's... certainly something. I would say that this was the most awkward and revolting film I ever watched, but I just watched the first two Species films last year and those definitely take the cake in that department. Though I'm kind of torn on which one of these three films have the most awkward sex scene in it.

There's not much that is really good about this film. It's kind of got an interesting premise for a "science run amok" type story, but it's ruined by everything else. The characters are all unlikable idiots who routinely do stupid things throughout the film that they know is going to bite them in the ass later on. The most unlikable and dumb character is the only one to survive at the end. All the action in the film is saved for the last few minutes of the film, which makes for only a quick and uninspired ending climax.

Not really a good film. I wasn't really expecting a whole lot but this was a rather big let down.

just watched smallfoot and it was an ok movie, definitely aimed towards the kiddies with it being a musical and the level of humor it has, but i had no idea that it even was a musical.
