I'll be leaving on Wednesday for our annual Florida vacation and will be coming back on Friday.

my mom mentioned that it's possible to trade in my shoddy laptop for a refurbished one at one of the computer stores here, but i don't know if that's actually possible with the condition that mine is in. not only does it have bad memory, but one of the hinges on the laptop itself is broken. but if i do get a trade in i really hope it's one of those 'try it before you buy it' deals.

yesterday i went to the yorktown beach with my mom, it's about a 60 mile drive but it wasn't too crowded. there's no jellyfish and it has a good range of shallow water.

Do thrift stores ever carry used or refurbished computers?

The one back east did, which seemed like a huge security concern.

actually one goodwill store here had a windows 8 pc for a short while, i should've bought it before my last 1k in money went to help pay for bills.

Another weekend successfully rocked. I went to an excellent concert last night. Today I went with Mrs steak to a boutique to collect her money and restock some of her product. Getting ready to return to the grind tomorrow, where it's looking like a bunch of people will get laid off soon. I'll likely be immune but it's a little scary either way.

You might want to call the stores in your area to see what they offer for trade in computers. There is a chain of stores called Goodwill Computerworks that sell refurbished computers. I bought a monitor at one of their stores. I'll have to get another one I feel this one might be conking out on me.

Well that sucks. Is it seasonal work, or just the company needing to cut back on expenses?

It's "we lost the contract with our biggest customer because every year they ask us to do more work for less money and another company still undercut us by half a mil this time 'cause they pay their employees like crap"
