good to know that a fair number of past issues of nintendo power are fairly cheap. i got this from a seller on amazon and he only asked for a few bucks and the shipping wasn't too bad either. i'll slowly be buying issue upon issue before the holidays. on another note i got super mario maker in the mail and made a few levels already.

I've been looking to stockpile old issues myself, but some of the sellers on ebay are asking ridiculous prices. I never once thought to try Amazon. Thanks for the tip. 

I picked up Mario Maker today in Walmart. Probably won't mess around with it any until next weekend though (the kids are only allowed to play on the systems on weekends).

welp, my wii u gamepad ac adapter plug has been acting up. now if i want it to get charged i have to fiddle around with the cord input and have the wire stick out in a certain direction all while the gamepad is kept still. i can get a replacement cheap off of amazon, but they ship from china.
