I like GMK, Final Wars is "okay", King Kong vs. Godzilla, and the Legendary film.

I haven't watched any Godzilla in a long time. When I was a kid, it was Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla.

If you do decide to catch a movie with the Big G in it, I recommend GMK: Giant Monsters All Out Attack. It is very well done. Naturally, the 2014 Legendary flick is also really good. Try those two out.

Yes, I would like to check out the newer movies sometime (AFTER 98 and 2000, that is). I had only heard of Final Wars, so thanks for the recs!

My pleasure. I suggest GMK because it is a refreshing take on Godzilla smack dab in the middle of a bunch of "same old, same old" formulaic Big G movies. G is really, really nasty in GMK, bent on teaching man a lesson. It's a fun romp.

That's awesome. Glad to see someone in the homebrew community doing a Godzilla title. I would love it if he included Gamera and King Kong in there somewhere.

I'm not sure how this is going to work though. Toho is VERY protective of the Godzilla property, and will not allow anyone to make a penny on this.
