I still to this day don't understand why people stayed when they had ample warning to get out. If it's between my life or my family's lives and my "stuff", my stuff is staying put and we're outta there.

If someone says they saw a tornado touch down nearby, I'm outta there. Here we're talking about a hurricane.

I'd evacuate. Staying indoors is just wrong.

A lot of people tried to get out and couldn't.
