I'm curious about that cereal. I'll look for it. Not sure about those flavors though. Maybe the honey.
For me, the veggies are good cooked in an olive oil-coated frying pan, then salted.

I'll have to start trying that. Olive oil was a recommended thing for my diet. Salt... Not so much. Have to use some other flavoring.

I was afraid of that. You can use it lightly...if you're supposed to drastically or entirely reduce your intake, check out "Mrs Dash" spice mix or onion powder.

If the scale in the bathroom is accurate, which it probably isn't, I've lost ten pounds since December (when I was sick and went to the doctor and got weighed on a good scale.)
OTOH, I went shopping today. In a part of town I rarely get to. So I splurged on a cheesesteak at this place up there run by some Philly ex-pats. So good, so bad...

You gotta splurge every once in a while, just to stay sane. No doubt it was one tasty fall from the wagon.

With my wife about to give birth and my doctor wanting me to clamp down on my diet, I've turned to some alternative ways to eat better. One such way is Healthy Chef Creations, a home delivery outfit based in TDitH's home state of Florida.

You customize your weeks worth of food (or more, I'm doing four) and they create the organic, Mediterranean style meals fresh and deliver fresh (not frozen). My first weeks worth arrived today, and so far I've had the Steak and Poached Pear salad as well as a snack of figs and Manchego cheese. All tasted good. Plopped all the stuff in my fridge and just dig out the meal on my schedule when I'm ready to eat. Warm up the meat if necessary, and enjoy.

Well it's been over two months since I got my lipid profile results last time, so I'm going in tomorrow to have it done again. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers. Hoping to see some positive results from my change in diet.

Also, tonight I got back on the treadmill for the first time in a while. Now that the baby is settled in, I'm hoping to settle back into a workout routine on that thing.

Good luck, and good watching while walking!

All right, I have an appointment with a podiatrist next week. I have a foot issue of my own, and I just can't stand it any more. Years ago, I was running to catch a bus, and twisted something around the metatarsal area. Most of the time, it doesn't bother me. But once in a while, I step on it wrong and OUCH! Naturally, that only happens while I'm doing something that makes it really inopportune, like carrying ten gallons of sangria...

Have you tried walking/running barefoot? I read an excellent book called Born to Run which explains how man was designed to run barefoot and all the great benefits from doing so.

I go to the gym 5 days a week and have built a lot of muscle, but my diet has always been pretty shoddy. I'm considering following Arnold's Blueprint nutrition program in hopes of eating healthier and reducing my body fat percentage.

Sounds like a great idea. The key is finding foods that you like that fit into the program, and letting them replace those comfort foods. That was a biggie for me.

Hope everything turns out okay for you shakin. Perhaps it's something that certain exercises can ease.
