Just a random idea I thought up, but would you guys consider original illustrations to be used to go along with articles? By that I don't mean title cards, just like using them to flesh out a story from the bridge of an article for creativity measures. What do y'all think?

Being an illustrator at heart, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD use them every chance I could get.

I make simple title cards. But I used to put alot more work in them. But life gets in the way and I can't really do my good ones anymore.

Of course. If I'm writing about someone else's media (movie/TV/video game) I will generally use screenshots or scans. But for anything else, I will and have used my own drawings or photographs. The more original your content, the better. Even with my screenshots and scans I prefer to take them myself for sure. Why offer what's available elsewhere?

If I can use my own pictures I will. Especially if I can't the specific picture I'm looking for online.
I don't think I've used my drawings for an article yet. |

My drawing skills aren't that great so I prefer to edit existing pictures using Photoshop. I definitely like to take my own pictures whenever I can.
There was one image of a Namco coin I saw on at least 3 different RJ articles (Mine included) and I thought that was pretty funny. |

Maybe with my touch screen I'll get back into title cards. But not sure yet.
