@TDitH... there is a good image editing/paint program out there that I use for everything under the sun, Paint.net. It's free and awesome. I think it's much easier to use than Gimp, though you can do more with Gimp.

for the past two years now i've been using a free online paint software on deviantart.com simply titled "deviantART muro". it has your standard tool sets and all, but it doesn't feel too cluttered like photoshop and some other programs out there. i just wish that i had that professional knowledge in making my work look all spiffy like the art that you see on deviantart's home page, like how they do the lighting, shading techniques and all that Nintendo Network ID: Benjamillion

Vaporman87 wrote :As a big fan of Paint.NET, what can't you do in it? Many things that aren't in the base program can be accomplished with plugins. I have also found other things that are there, but in a different location from where someone used to Photoshop would look. |

I'm just a bad artist lol Though I'll probably be adding Peanut Butter (Look at my icon) in my title cards whenever I find the right software to use.

@shakin: One thing that comes to mind is that you can't save/export an animated .gif file. I have had to use images I edited in Paint.net and save them as an animated .gif in Gimp.

perchance, i was thinking that maybe next year i could do something story-related with a halloween article. the concept for gilda has been about writing children's books based on her adventures in arriving on different planets with different themes, some are extra terrestrial worlds, while others are absurd places like a toyland, a planet made of food, etc., but maybe one article could focus on her story of traversing a planet that celebrates halloween? i planned on having katie make a cameo as a spiritual host of a party that happens in what looks to be a castle
and as far as the story goes, i could do it all in illustration in the form of the classic 'golden look-look books', which had every page of a drawing with written story inbetween. EDIT: nevermind, i guess it was obvious of that being a stupid idea for an article.... Nintendo Network ID: Benjamillion
