i went to kings dominion a couple of times, but as the later years came along i was a bit disappointed because their park felt like nothing BUT roller coasters, lol. i did like some of their nickelodeon themed rides though, like one reptar-themed coaster and a wild thornberrys ride that's similar to the escape from pompeii, but the drop is a bit shorter.
around 1993-1994 they had a huge jungle gym area themed around nicktoons and one of the crew members had a music video of "happy happy joy joy" playing along in a segment as they were setting everything up. it was a one-time thing, but to me it was the peak of nickelodeon in theme park form

King's Dominion was a unique place to me. I liked the Wayne's World coaster (not sure what they call it now that Paramount doesn't own the park) and the Volcano coaster was REALLY unique. So cool how it would shoot you up out of the top of the volcano.
I also remember it being the ONLY theme park I had ever been in that had METAL DETECTORS at the front gate. Nothing makes you feel secure at a theme park like metal detectors. I was thinking... "what am I going into here...the getto park?" You love this signature.

As far as summer movies go, a new Planes movie is going to be in theaters next month.

Not much planned for me...I'm currently working on transcribing my interview with Lita Ford for Pop Geeks. It should be up next week. I have some other ideas for people to send interview requests to.
Other than that, over the Summer, I'll be continuing to save up money for the Chiller Theatre convention in October. I'll also be saving up money to visit a big flea market in October as well. It's really about saving up money for the Fall season this Summer. |

It's been going pretty good so far. I've currently saved up $1140.00 for the Chiller Theatre convention. It's been helped out by bonuses from work, the dividend checks I've been getting from the big account that mom saved up for me before she passed away, and money that I didn't spend when I went to Walt Disney World earlier this year. My family's financial proxy has been storing it for me.

Uhg.
It became readily apparent to me this morning during my morning trip to the gas station for a soda, that this is the weekend the crazies and unbathed masses come to town for Skatopia's annual disaster. If you've ever seen their documentary (used loosely), you'll know why this means we need to make sure to seal the doors a little tighter this weekend. You love this signature.
