It's annoying because I doubt he reads any of the articles published, but this one had my name on it so he probably got interested.

Tell me what's worse for your website? Years of approving crappy content and neglecting the site...or one article with a small plug in it?

I should have made a copy of it, trying to see if I can get it back in my article bank and publish it here.

What does he means with "declaring the doom of RJ"? I'm asking out of curiosity though, not judging anything

Let's just say that Vertex the administrator let the place slip away.

Nono, I actually meant to quote vkimo's comment.

I know what you meant. I was actually posting that for vkimo and the rest to laugh at.

Basically, the answer to your question is what crow said:

Hard to keep track of it when the posts come in so close together.

I've offered to buy the site from Vertex on more than one occasion, but never received an answer. That's one reason I ended up starting RetroDaze, among others.

I also offered to by a certain site that you and I are familiar with Silv, but Aurora was not ready for that yet.

The article was a summary of my time on RJ and a timeline of the site from 2003 to the present. I actually spent a lot of time on it. At the end I basically said I write over at RD. I really didn't think Vertex would have read it.

Woah, really? I have some mixed feelings about it. For one thing, I know that you can make a LOT of good to Aurora's site, and on the other hand, I know FOR SURE that she won't sell it to anyone. She loves it too much for that.

That site is literally my second home and I wouldn't want to see it change (even, if for the best). Hope you can get RJ and restore to its former glory, though.

If I may interject with a derailment.

My day was ultra-typical. That is, until I checked the mail. My five game bundle arrived from the site. Amazing end to the day, in and of itself. But, the greatest bonus, the realization that one of my games, Batman, was a former Video Update rental.

I worked at Video Update from my senior year in high school up until they were bought out by Movie Gallery, and there I remained up until they were closing stores and well on their way out of business.

It was a great surprise. So many great memories hanging out with my friends at the Video Update. They would all just hang out with me while I worked. We would eat candy and watch movies on the banks of monitors until the store closed. Then we would hang out in the parking lot, talking and joking around all night.
