Do the folks at theoldcomputer have the rights to the video game box pics?

Crow: I've asked, but received no response since my first email conversation in which the sites owner gave the go ahead. However, unlike CerealBits, TheOldComputer does not give credit or any information regarding the pics. So the image creators are already not receiving any credit or link backs or anything... Kinda like VHS Wasteland. My guess is any contributions were made with no intention of keeping them safeguarded by copyright.

Although it may seem sleezy. I'm sure you could get the Cereal boxes back on without any worries. I don't see how a guy (Even though he may have taken all the pictures) can claim any type of legal ownership over items that were copyright to begin with!

Can we get someone with a legal background to chime in on this?

Despite his desire to have them taken down, he did agree to allow the thumbnails to remain and link to the original images hosted at CerealBits. But this will require a great deal of time recording the URL of each of 650+ images and linking the thumbs to the right image. Not worth it I think.
