Over the weekend I was able to hear a re-broadcast of Hannity's interview with her. Having listened to her explanation I was able understand her point of view and see how, in her eyes, the comment was not meant to be racist in any way.Valerie Jarrett looks like a Caucasian person. You wouldn't look at her and suspect she had any black or middle-eastern heritage.Valerie Jarrett spent a great amount of time living in Iran, and was likely influenced by that.Roseanne claims the comment was political, and not racial. Think about it...Planet of the Apes depicted a society that was very much like a dictatorship, or at least an oligarchy. Not to mention a society that was not accepting of outsiders or alternate opinions. The Muslim Brotherhood is basically the same. If they had their way, every country would live under Sharia Law.Beyond that, Roseanne has Asians, Hispanics, and Blacks within her trust circle, and even in her extended family. You can't really be a racist AND have that.So my opinion of Roseanne's comment has "evolved".-end quote
I heard it too, I feel different though somewhat. I don't think she is racist, but the explanation was more her covering her butt to me.
