In keeping with the 'from-scratch' philosophy of the site I've whipped up some samples, like

Awesome. I think his fur needs to be lighter to see clearly. In fact most of the existing faces need to be redrawn for small size.
(I mean I'm sure you know already but I'm just saying, to avoid double work)
