Well, this is a step in the right direction, but I don't understand why they would want this to be an ongoing story instead of new tales every episode. That doesn't make sense to me.

This article says that despite earlier reports, there will be a Crypt Keeper, but he'll be reinvented. I'd rather have him back just the way he was, but having a reinvented Crypt Keeper is still better than no Crypt Keeper at all.

That's a good call to say the least. If there wasn't going to be a Crypt Keeper, then there wasn't any point with them going on with the show.

I've read several articles on the topic, and it seems the show may in fact have shifted gears into an anthology format. I wonder if they changed their minds because of negative fan reaction. In any event, we may be getting something closer to the HBO series than originally planned.

Even if they give the Cryptkeeper a new look, who cares? It's not the first time we've seen him different.

I'll withhold judgement on this. At least the news seems to be trending in the right direction.

News is this project is now dead thanks to too many rightsholders not wanting to play ball. RIP Cryptkeeper

What were the chances of it being good anyway?
