Had some rain here in California and it was a night respite from last weeks heatwave. Talk about schweddy balls!

On a side note, got some free sod because we had leftovers after a job we did. Planted it in the backyard about 3 weeks ago and it looks sweet!

I remember watching an old Discovery Channel documentary that might explain that. It seems that whenever there's an oceanic current shift that brings in more fish near shore, more sharks are soon to follow.

Not enough rain there and too much here. I'm guessing PA is seeing the same cruddy weather. So you'd be up to your knees in rain there, or all dried up in CA.

So can I assume you're working in landscaping out there?

Nah, general contracting. My buddy who I've known since grade school is a skilled carpenter and I'm helping him out, we do a little of everything and an added perk is lots of left over building materials. I plan on building the Jurassic Park gate outback this summer haha

Tonight's the last night of Vacation Bible School, which my father has volunteered to teach.

The theme for us this year is Journey off the Map.

Cool theme. This was our's this year...



The church was decked out in snowy mountains made of styrofoam. The fellowship hall was turned into an ice cave using long sheets of blue and white paper, wear-painted to resemble ice. Very cool (no pun intended).

Sounds great.

At our church, there wasn't much decorating for the theme this year. Kids made some jungle plants and flowers out of paper and stuff and they were place in front of the alter.

I'm officially dubbing this the Summer That Wasn't. Uhg!!!!!
