Nice one Silv! First try out of the gate and you nailed it. I checked the screen shot against some from Chameleon Twist 2, and that same image came up.

You're up now.

Jajaja, that game was on ALL THE TIME on a videogame show that I used to love when I was a kid (despite not having any money to buy games XD).

Even though I have never played it or even seen it in real life, I think I recognize Nightshade when I see it. Hundreds of hours of staring at my friend's Nintendo Powers really paid off.

The Happy Video Game Nerd gave it a pretty good review! Sounds like a fun game!

Looks a lot like a Smash TV clone.

Jim Power in Mutant Planet (AKA Lost Dimension)?

You have NO IDEA of how much I suffered with this one... I'll have my revenge

haha yes, you got it. Mutant Planet (which I did not know about) was on Amiga/Atari ST/Amstrad CPC. Lost Dimension in 3-D was on Super Nintendo, as well as DOS. It used some stages from Mutant Planet but was released as a different game. Very ambitious with all the different modes and crazy parallax effects, I think this game would have been bigger if they didn't try to include 3-D glasses (in late 1993!) and if Jim himself was a bit cooler. (Let's start with the awful combo of a real-world, "regular guy" type first name like Jim with an obvious, "radical, dude!" last name like Power.)
