3560 | Article | SockofFleagulls | @vaporman87 I've seen some on eBay, sometimes even sold individually. I still have my Voltron book and several sports books too, some of which I never completed. @nlogan thanks! | Christmas 1985 Through My Gobots Camera Lens | Dec 12, 2016
3559 | Article | SockofFleagulls | Thanks for sharing. My parents divorced just a couple years before you and I know some of those feelings. Luckily I was in high school so I had many years of great Christmases together. | A Very Sega Christmas | Dec 12, 2016
3558 | Article | Vaporman87 | Awwww... man. Talk about disappointment. I'm guessing your parents were hitting every thrift store and yard sale they could find to try and make things right, to no avail. Bummer. But hey, an SNES! LOL. I can just see you pounding away gleefully on that controller while occasionally looking over at your bro and sighing before refocusing on the 16 bit glory. | Christmas Conundrum | Dec 12, 2016
3556 | Article | Vaporman87 | I still have that Masters of the Universe sticker book. I always meant to get all the stickers so I could fill the whole thing, but never did. I wonder if I can get them anywhere now? Hmmmm. Your adventures with your GoBots camera reminds me of my early exploits with a PXL 2000 I received one year for Christmas. It used audio cassette tapes to record grainy, black and white video. But that didn't stop me from documenting all the goings on in my house. | Christmas 1985 Through My Gobots Camera Lens | Dec 12, 2016
3554 | Article | Vaporman87 | Man, I can feel the disappointment of your grandpa's gift from here. LOL. Thankfully your dad came through and really helped life make sense again, even in the midst of all the awkward proceedings. Great story sir! | A Very Sega Christmas | Dec 12, 2016
3553 | Article | NLogan | Nice. I had a few GoBots and always wanted the diecast Voltron. The pictures especially the fact that you took them make this one special. | Christmas 1985 Through My Gobots Camera Lens | Dec 12, 2016
3552 | Article | NLogan | Only 2 people knew who I was supposed to be. Lots of people thought it was a mask and were surprised to find out it was make up. If you look very closely at the maxilla region above where my upper lip would be near the philtrum, you can see the line of the bottom of my nose. The nostrils are actually painted clear up on the bridge of my nose to try for more of a likeness to the character. | Disney's Haunted Mansion Hat Box Ghost | Dec 12, 2016
3550 | Article | DirtyD79 | When I was a little kid I used to walk past this one church on my way home from school. The thing that scared was there was this giant art deco style copper Jesus on the side of the building. The Jesus statue or whatever was copper at one time but had turned green due to years of oxidation. Because of it's weird shape and green coloring people in the neighborhood would call it "The Grasshopper." I was always afraid it would fall off the wall and crush me on the sidewalk below. While I eventually got over my fear, the only things I've ever really been to that church for are either weddings or funeral services. Mostly because we don't live in that neighborhood anymore. I know most people would think it's weird how anybody could be scared of Jesus but most people don't have the extremely overactive imagination I had as a kid and still do to this day. | Childhood Fears | Dec 11, 2016
3549 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I totally missed that photo of you as The Hatbox Ghost during my original read through, you continue to impress. How many people recognized the character? | Disney's Haunted Mansion Hat Box Ghost | Dec 10, 2016
3547 | Article | SockofFleagulls | I love that you included Thunder Hawk. I could easily make this list all M.A.S.K. vehicles. However, the Coyote X from Hardcastle and McCormick is an awesome TV car that's obscure enough to get overlooked often. Others in consideration should be Colt Seaver's 4x4 from Fall Guy and Magnum P.I.'s Ferrari. Animated, how about that transforming convertible from Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats or Filmation Ghostbusters car? | 5 Best TV Cars of the 80s | Dec 08, 2016 |
