By the way, what in the world in the forum code is it that puts random line breaks in when something is pasted? If I edit such a post, they aren't there in WYSIWYG mode but in source mode they do appear--as actual line breaks, not preceded or indicated by
or
. There, I can usually fix most of them but it's pretty annoying, especially since I'm usually pasting because I went to draft a long post in Notepad.

I have noticed that as well. Something about the transition from another program into the editor is triggering the line breaks, but what I can't say.

This whole thread has inspired me to offer something else in the Points Store. Stay tuned for that.

I had a Top Loader once, it was nice and they supposedly work better but you can also get like 4 original consoles for the cost of 1 Top Loader. Cleaning the games works sometimes but I just breathe on them, the heat from your breath boosts the conductivity to the 72 Pin Connector. They say blowing is actually bad for the games long term.

Nah, they're not that much more. There's an auction on right now for one for $40 with 6 hours left and no bids. Buy it now for $75. S&H is $13. I am slapping myself right now, I got mine for $90 shipped. But I was originally wanting to buy one from Lukie, which would cost more. I was ready to do that since they're guaranteed, but they've been out of stock. They price the top loader lower than the original.

Actually I've seen multiple certain items that the price goes down as soon as I stop looking. I've given up on ever getting Mega Man 1 at a reasonable price. I still watch auctions just to get a feel. Yesterday I saw the cart and manual go for $61. That's a lot, but it's less than the cart usually sells for all by itself. Most auctions for just the manual start at $20 or more. If I ever get that game I'll probably just download the manual and run it off a laser printer.

Here's a "CIB condition" Mega Man 3 with no box, not manual, nothing but the cartridge. What the heck! I'd say this seller is an idiot but I bet he knows exactly what he's doing. He says it "looks like it was CIB" hey bozo: every game 'was' complete in box. That's how they're made. I don't know what it is about Mega Man but I think they are the most hyped games of all. Half of them aren't even all that great.

Heat? Or moisture?

I have always heard this. Even when I was a kid, we took our console in for repair and the guy told us not to blow in them and got my dad to buy a cleaning kit. The theory is when the spittle vapor dries, it stops conducting and starts interfering.

I
just had it happen without another program. I was rearranging blocks
within the editor directly and came up with two unsolicited carriage
returns.
