Inflation has gotten so out of control lately. Today I went to the store to pick up some things up for my sister's party later. Three things of raspberries, two things of strawberries and a thing of blackberries. Also a case of water.

Try buying all that in Seattle, and fork over more like $50.00!

You all know how this goes!

Hear an old song on the car radio and it doesn't sound like much. But then hear the same song via premium headphones - Amazing. The song went from flat to fantastic. Very deeply orchestrated.

I'm one of those who has fond memories of Batman Returns.

This Hot Wheels version of Penguin's duck vehicle helps me celebrate it.

microsoft just bought activision/blizzard, wonder what this means for the future of crash bandicoot and spyro the dragon now that they'll be xbox exclusives for future games.

Sony's stock has been plummeting like crazy since the announcement yesterday. I never thought that gaming could have possibly gotten more worse than what we experienced in the eigth generation, but here we are.

@Rick

i honestly don't care about modern consoles anymore really. if they're going to be tough to be able to get then i'm fine with going backwards and buying any systems that i missed out on in the past, whether it's the likes of a colecovision or even the vectrex. it's kind of like a bucket list thing for me

For me it's not even the decline of the consoles. It has been the decline in the quality of games. So few games stuck out to me throughout the eighth generation. If it received hype before release it was a giant letdown upon it. I remember in 2011 reading an article about how the video game industry was about to enter a dark period. I laughed at the time, but looking back on it after the eighth generation they really were on to something.

It might be that we just like different kinds of games, but I've rarely, if ever, had a lack of fun stuff to play. I honestly wouldn't have realized the 8th gen was a letdown until I read your comment. I guess I also don't play too often, so like a few new games a year (plus some smaller ps plus freebies and retro games I return to on old consoles) usually satiate me.
