That's right! I'll be starting off as a gas meter reader then can move onto other fields if I wish.

Awesome! I've known a few guys who do meter readings - gas, water, and electric. It's a nice gig. You get to be out on the road locally and don't have somebody over your shoulder all the time.

There was a time when our entire customer base was metered. Now we have no meters at all.

No one demanded this either, but they still gave it the green light.

Aside from the increasing prices of meters, it mostly had to do with necessity and efficiency. In our area it just didn't make sense.

We did not have the ability to do readings, so customers were required to call in their readings so that we knew how much to charge them, and when to refill their tanks. Eventually it was just simpler to charge for gas placed in the tank.

Nowadays their are almost no propane companies who use meters. Some offer them as an option, but the customer is required to pay a fee for meter maintenance.

Sometimes landlords want meters so that they can keep track of how much to charge a tenant. The landlord has to pay for the tank fill, and then sets a price to charge the tenant for the gallons used.

after months of putting it off, i got around to finishing blaster master zero on the nintendo switch. as far as video game reboots go this really felt like the devs put their heart and soul into the effort to make this. there's a more fleshed out story, a nice balance in difficulty, and revamped 2D graphics to set it apart from the original. and now that there's a sequel out i'll definitely be picking it up soon.

The first Secret Life of Pets movie was okay. It wasn't anything special.
