Following this latest voting day, this seemed like an interesting thing to keep in mind with regard to the next one. I should point out that I think it would be a good idea if we could somehow give a "bonus" of electoral votes to the popular vote winner. Seems reasonable to me.

Went to my sister's award banquet last night. They were awarding academic achievements of last year. It was a fun event. I happened to run into a lot of old faces that I haven't seen since High School ended. It was nice to see people but also sad at the same time. It was just sad to see just how much time has passed since then. We're all getting older now and it's just starting to show more and more.

Ha! I feel the same way. My wife is sometimes blown away by how poorly some of my classmates have aged... to the point that she almost can't believe we were ever in the same grade. But the fact that this is the case also serves to make me realize just how much time has gone by, and that sucks.

The month will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.

I think about that too. My 20th reunion is coming up in 2022.

People that were born after the war started are now officially eligible to enlist in the armed forces. Once you take into account things like bootcamp and other training, we'll probably see the first deployment of someone from this category in another year or two.

it's going to be the end of an era as strategy guide book publisher Prima is closing its doors.

so i have an aunt who's going to be coming up to visit for christmas next month since she lives out in the middle of nowhere with just her husband so i've been picking up around the house and moving stuff around today to prepare for her visit, she'll actually be spending a few nights before christmas day. i haven't seen her since i was real little, but the reason for that is, well, she was in a drug phase for a while.
