The mailroom where I live now is quite a distance away from my house. It's about an hour walk to go there and back. I don't have a car so that's all I can do right now.
Today I walk there to get several packages that have been waiting there for a few days. If a package doesn't fit in your box then you have to get it through the mail window (which is only open for two hours a day between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM). I also have to bring a shopping bag with me to get the actually the mail, which was stuffed thick in the box.
I go there, get my mail. I pick up the packages, which there were a number of. Including a huge box that contained that Power Rangers Megazord. I have to carry all these things back to my house slowly, holding them in my arms in a certain position.
I eventually get back to my house. When I reach into my pocket to get my house key out, I noticed that my mailbox wasn't in there. At first I thought it was nothing, and that I likely put it in the shopping bag after opening my mailbox. As I'm sorting through the mail, I noticed the key is nowhere to be found. I get a little frantic, and really start to look everywhere for it.
Eventually I reach the conclusion that I lost the key on the walk back to my house or left it at the mailroom.
I walk back to the mailroom, slowly going on the road to look if it was on the side of the road. Eventually I reach the mailroom again to find that I never removed the key from the lock on the mailbox.
I'm sunburned on my face, neck, top of my back, arms and my scalp because I'm thinning badly. My arms are killing me from having to hold the packages in the same position for a half hour. And I have blisters on the bottom of both my feet.
But hey: I got that collectable toy I wanted, plus some books and DVD's I ordered.
