I prefer the holiday being about the lord giving us what we have, rather than celebrating the slaughter of land of several nations and people. We can be better than this, but as a country we prove that gorging food for a holiday based on staining blood on a land continues to show how much other countries rightfully hate us for glorifying our ancestors in such a manner.
