8959Comment char limit! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) < > / ; ' " ` ~ = ; : are all acceptable. Only & and + causes the problem. Conclusion: Comment gizmo worships the word "and" and refuses typographic symbol substitutes.
shakin steakJun 16, 2014View
8958Comment char limitWell, I tried some different things and discovered the cause of my issue: the article comment gizmo dislikes ampersands. There was a & right at the point where the truncation occurred. I thought to rearrange sentences & see if it would happen at the same number of characters, & pinpointed it. & after I figured that out, & replaced "&" with "and", it worked correctly.

So now you can read my response to your comment on my "new" article shakin steakJun 16, 2014View
8957Comment char limitWell, I'm not sure what to think.

First I simply typed in a series of letters, like so:

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
ccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc
ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
eeeee......

and they got cut off before even reaching "b".

But when I copied and pasted my longer comment on your most recent article 6 times over, it posted all of it. So I'm not sure what to think.
Vaporman87Jun 16, 2014View

8955Comment char limitHmmm. I'm not sure to be honest. But if a comment is getting cut off, then I suppose it's possible. I'll do some testing.
Vaporman87Jun 16, 2014View
