21995 | Ghostbusters Reboot | I just hope it's a sequel. It should augment the story, not replace it. The original team retired one by one, and these ladies were hired as time went on.

Man. Back in the 80s we made fun of sequels because there were too many of them and they were cheap cash-ins. Remakes are making me bite my tongue.
| shakin steak | Jul 13, 2015 | |
21994 | CEO of Nintendo Satoru Iwata passes away at 55 |
blueluigi wrote :

This does make me wonder where the future of Nintendo will go from there. Who's going to take Iwata's position at the president of Nintendo. It's something that makes me a little bit concerned as they might either get somebody who will take Nintendo in a downward spiral of which it can really damage their brand...
-end quote
They are already in one, if you ask me. I don't know if it's Iwata's fault, but since he is now departed, I hope this is an opportunity to turn things around.
| shakin steak | Jul 13, 2015 | |
21993 | Ash vs. The Evil Dead | Pornographers like X or NC-17 ratings, but they don't only mean sex.
| shakin steak | Jul 13, 2015 | |
21992 | How was your day? |
shakin steak wrote :
At this weekend's fest I treated myself to a $9 burger. Grass-fed beef according to the sign. I wish they had REAL condiments. Give me lettuce, tomato, and onion please. Raw. Ketchup and mustard do not cut it with me. But the patty was juicy, well seasoned, cooked perfectly. The cheese was flavorful, and they put it on a kaiser roll.
-end quote
Oh me, oh my. That sounds just delightful. Now I am really craving that. :P
| Vaporman87 | Jul 13, 2015 | |

I didn't see the post.
-end quote
It was in the Random Pictures Thread. I think he said something about it being on a pier?

Ah, definitely not the same event. I was inland.
I found the post. Funny, the only time I have been to Navy Pier was also to take pictures. I don't care for the place too much because there are too many tourists. I don't mean that as badly as it sounds.

Vaporman87 wrote :
In Pomeroy (a neighboring village and the county seat), there is usually some kind of festival happening on the weekends during the summer. Typically it's just bands (mostly country or blues), food, and some inflatables for the kids. The biggest ones are the Gold Wings & Ribs Fest and the Big Bend Blues Bash. All of these take place in the parking lot right on the river. You could jump (or walk - at the boat levy) right into the river from the lot. So some people bring their boats and float in place to watch or listen.
-end quote
That's pretty neat. Most of my side work is where they just close down the street for a couple of blocks. Although the big ones take over a park.

At this weekend's fest I treated myself to a $9 burger. But the patty was juicy, well seasoned, cooked perfectly. The cheese was flavorful, and they put it on a kaiser roll. I'm making myself hungry. Anyway, for that it's a great price, compared to the dry, lifeless burger a lot of festival stands offer for only $2 less.

thecrow174 wrote :
It was our church's annual Homecoming, so there was singing and food. 21990 | Ash vs. The Evil Dead | Okay, I take it back.

The amount of sex is very bad in this movie, but that's not what this film is about. An R-rating sounds more like the appropriate rating.
| Mr Magic | Jul 13, 2015 | |
21989 | Coneheads in State Farm commercial. | I caught one of these online. Funny seeing those two again after so long. | Vaporman87 | Jul 13, 2015
21988 | Last Movie You Watched | The original Carrie.

She's the last girl you'd wanna tease.
| Mr Magic | Jul 13, 2015 | |
21987 | Ash vs. The Evil Dead | Unless you count the tree branch/girl scene... eww. I hate that scene. Talk about wishing you could "unsee" something! | Vaporman87 | Jul 13, 2015
21986 | Last Movie You Watched | Sandlot is a good one. Nice to have traditions that involve watching classic movies. :) | Vaporman87 | Jul 13, 2015 |
