For those who don't know, Michael Larson memorized these set patterns on the show by recording episodes off TV and playing them back again. He used them to his advantage and that's how he won that much. It's evident once you pay attention to his reactions. Sometimes, he would celebrate early before he even knew what it is he won.

Although, his skill did eventually wear out at the end, and there were a few squares he landed on where he almost lost it all. Especially the last one where he lands on that trip to the Bahamas.
