Today has been a day of cloak and dagger for us. Let me explain...

My wife's relationship with her father has been very rocky for a long time, but within the last year or so she has decided she no longer wants him in her life.

Today (the Saturday before the Fair) has always been a day we spend traveling down deep into West Virginia for her family reunion. But since her Dad was going to be there, we did not go.

Then she heard that he might try to stop out here on their way back from West Virginia, which she wanted nothing to do with. So I parked my truck at the gas plant, and we locked down the house and headed out to town for a while to "disappear".

It looks like her Dad and Mom aren't going to stop here now after all, but it was that kind of day.
