First snow of the season yesterday. Just a few inches. I shoveled the sidewalk, including all the way across the park next door, since the school doesn't find it important to maintain the rear of their property   

Weather app says we might get more tonight. This time I will pre-salt, but I expect to run out of salt halfway.

I had read that the Chicago area should expect some pretty severe upcoming weather, a few days ago. I take it that didn't amount to much... at least not yet?

Define "severe"... below zero temps, at least overnight? Pretty normal, unfortunately. Boatloads of snow? I haven't heard of any such expected yet.

I prefer the snow. Sometimes I wonder why I'm still here.

I'm hoping for some snow too. Being a Californian all my life, the novelty of snow is still strong. I get giddy when I can shovel it.
