Vertex is about the only one who truly likes the current look.

I certainly hope he rights the wrongs with this update. The forums at RetroJunk were a lot of fun a few years back. I'd love to see things back to that level again.

I don't know if it's just me, but another thing I don't like about the current Retrojunk is how it's gotten more whiny than ever. It seems to me like we've been getting more threads that bitch about how much life sucks, and more "Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network Sucks Now" articles that doesn't get sent to the back page. If all the good members were here, they would call these whiners out on these "life sucks" threads and these TV sucks now articles would be sent to the back page almost immediately.

The problem is, the noobs don't realize that those articles and threads have been done to death. There should be a rule prohibiting them from making them, so they won't be tempted to do so. A lot of these are rebellious, so they'll just break the rule anyway.

But yeah... agreed. Maybe things will start hoppin' once more. But I fear the damage may be irreversible, at least as far as the regulars coming back and being "regular" again. It's likely they have moved on to something else, somewhere else. I hope I'm wrong.

Sadly, I think you're probably right. The forum is essentially a ghost town. Vertex seemingly didn't pay the site the attention it needed and didn't want to listen to the huge number of members who absolutely hated the redesign. I hope I'm wrong, but I think the damage has been done.

Well, if things are going to get better, this new design is a step in the right direction... so that gives one hope. I think if Vertex were a bit more accessible, and would pop in on a daily basis to the forum at RJ, that would really go a long way too.

I miss the fun users who ditched the site. It would be nice to hear from 'em again.

I miss the fun users who got banned.

 I guess it would be a horrible thing to do, but everyone who writes an article about how Nickelodeon and CN has changed should get an automatic IP ban. 

At times, I wonder why Vertex doesn't just ditch the site and focus on the forum. I guess that sounds goofy, but it just seems more 'fixable', at this point.
