Monsters are due on Maple Street

Maple Street, U.S.A., late summer. A tree-lined little world of front porch gliders, barbecues, the laughter of children, and the bell of an ice cream vendor. At the sound of the roar and the flash of light, it will be precisely 6:43 P.M. on Maple Street...This is Maple Street on a late Saturday afternoon. Maple Street in the last calm and reflective moment—before the monsters came.

Time enough at last

Witness Mr. Henry Bemis, a charter member in the fraternity of dreamers. A bookish little man whose passion is the printed page, but who is conspired against by a bank president and a wife and a world full of tongue-cluckers and the unrelenting hands of a clock. But in just a moment, Mr. Bemis will enter a world without bank presidents or wives or clocks or anything else. He'll have a world all to himself... without anyone.

I really liked Next Stop Willoughby. Willoughby represents what a small American town should be like. Only problem is, that town doesn't exist.

@pikachulover,

All great ones! "Next Stop Willoughby" is a personal favorite, but all of those are so good.

@Mr. Magic, yes, "Kick the Can!" I love that one. They remade it for the Twilight Zone movie too.

Another one that comes to mind is the hitchhiker episode. You could drive across state lines, but that same, mysterious guy will still be on the side of the road!

I really liked The Hitcher. And I seem to remember one hitchhiker story from one of the Creepshow movies.

Hitchhiker stories are always chilling.

A Most Unusual Camera

An intriguing story of a camera that can take pictures of things in the future.

What always gets me with The Twilight Zone is how creepy it all feels, especially when you know the episode already. No matter how well you know a particular episode - just a clip from it seems to highlight just how unsettling it all is.

There's no good in having a camera that knows what the future holds. Because you're not always going to like what you find out.

The Bewitchin' Pool

I have mixed feelings about the ending.

On the one hand, those parents will never see their kids again. On the other, they get to live in that magical land with that kind elderly lady.
