Remember the boy who cried "wolf" - no one will believe you when a real wolf shows up!

It works the same with guys who tell "tall tales" - old men who love to embellish stories are actually telling a kind of lie too. And in the Twilight Zone a man tells lies to aliens disguised as humans. These aliens believe every word this man says, so they kidnap him and take him aboard their spaceship, as the perfect human specimen.

Of course, no one will ever believe a word of what actually happened!

Even when you know what's going to happen, it's the build-up of events that makes the original Twilight Zone so watchable. Telly Savalas plays it perfectly - he displays all the qualities that make you dislike him and side with the doll.

I think the Big Three are

1. Eye of the Beholder

2. Nighmare at 20,000 Feet

3. The Monsters are Due on Maple Street

If you want a good scare, this one's a must.

There was this one episode that had a depressing ending called "Kick the Can"

Besides some of the ones already mentioned Night of the Meek about a drunken Santa. And The Incredible World of Horace Ford about a toy maker who goes back to his old neghborhood. I like the ones about notstalgia and adults. Next Stop Willoughby and Walking Distance. A Hundred Yards Over the Rim where a guy from the 1800s goes to then modern day New Mexico.

All great ones! "Next Stop Willoughby" is a personal favorite, but all of those are so good.

@Mr. Magic, yes, "Kick the Can!" I love that one. They remade it for the Twilight Zone movie too. 

My next pick is "The Invaders," which is an absolute classic written by Richard Matheson. Agnes Moorehead is fantastic in it and plays the whole episode through without uttering a word.
