Think something similiar to this Yu-Gi-Oh card but with mouths instead of eyes. I personally didn't think Castle GreySkullman wasn't that bad. His name was way too stupid, but design wise he probably just needed a few changes. Interesting concept, somewhat sloppy execution.

Okay. I think I can picture that pretty well.

As as far as Castle Grayskullman, that choice felt like an appeal to kids. I can see a young kid coming up with that design and thinking it was way cool. But not an adult collector like Daniel Benedict. There were soooo many designs I saw at the time that didn't even get submitted that were far superior and definitely would have fit in with the other characters.
