Week of 6/20/2013:
Wii U Virtual Console: Mario Bros (NES) $4.99 Wrecking Crew (NES) $4.99 3DS Virtual Console: Defenders of Oasis (Game Gear) $3.99 Mega Man 6 (NES) $4.99 Tails Adventure (Game Gear) $4.99 Sonic Blast (Game Gear) $3.99 It seems that the release of Mario Bros is a way for Nintendo to coincide that with the release of New Super Luigi U, the DLC game to New Super Mario Bros U that Nintendo made to celebrate Luigi's 30th year. Mario Bros was the game in which Luigi made his first ever appearance. The release of Mega Man 6 marks the first NES game released on the 3DS Virtual Console to not be included on the Wii Virtual Console. It also completes Capcom's Campaign to release all of the NES Mega Man titles. Good for them, BUT.... what about the other Game Boy Mega Man titles? Is Crapcom ever going to release those? I'm also glad we're starting to get more Game Gear titles released. After their original release of the first three Game Gear titles in 2012, the games for that system seems to have been resting in limbo. So, it's good to see Sega putting more of them out on the 3DS Virtual Console. |

Week of 6/27/2013:
Wii U Virtual Console: Vegas Stakes (SNES) $7.99 3DS Virtual Console: Spelunker (NES) $4.99 Crystal Warriors (Game Gear) $3.99 Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear) $4.99 Sonic Labyrinth (Game Gear) $4.99 Another set of Game Gear titles, and an NES game that has already been released on the Wii U Virtual Console earlier this month that's released this week for the 3DS Virtual Console. |

now all we need is sonic chaos along with sonic drift 1 and 2 and tails sky patrol and the sonic game gear titles should be complete
though i'll admit that sonic 1 and 2 were a bit unforgiving with the lack of collectible rings for the boss acts. but i wonder if we'll start getting master system games like phantasy star Nintendo Network ID: Benjamillion

Happy 4th of July, everybody. Now, here is this week's Independence Day releases:
Week of 7/4/2013: Wii U Virtual Console: Pilotwings (SNES) $7.99 3DS Virtual Console: G-LOC Air Battle (Game Gear) $3.99 Sonic Drift 2 (Game Gear) $3.99 Vampire Master of Darkness (Game Gear) $4.99 A little late for Pilotwings to come. But I guess it's better late than never for Nintendo. This week's release marks the remaining Game Gear titles to be caught up with the Japanese 3DS Virtual Console... for now anyway. Actually, Japan still doesn't have Sonic the Hedgehog and Shining Force just yet. |

Pilotwings! The SNES release title. Man, that game introduced me to the SNES's superior graphics capabilities. Er... no... wait. Was it Pilotwings or F-Zero I'm thinking of?

i remember sonic drift 2 having the annoying rubber band A.I. that later plagued future mario kart titles. when my mom was working at a pharmacy back around 1996 they had that game for cheap and she got it at discount price and it was still in the box. more on that in a possible article
