Gotta give the movie a thumbs up. A fun film with plenty of monster action and decent story. #ContinueTheMonsterverse

I had a blast watching it! Definitely a movie I will be watching again!

Roswell, NM was name dropped a few times in the movie, do you think they are setting up Aliens and/or Space Godzilla?

I just got back from it. I liked it. It was pretty fun, better than King of the Monsters. My original hypothesis was incorrect, but I immeadiately predicted the correct twist involving MechaGodzilla when the girl was listening to the podcast from the insider at the beginning. MechaGodzilla's design wasn't bad, though I think the Ready Player One version was better compared to this one.

I know the future of the series is up in the air right now. I hope they manage to get one last Godzilla film made. It would form a nice little trilogy and be a good ending to this storyline. As far as what the next film might entail, I don't know. Everyone was expecting Mecha King Ghidorah after the events of KOTM, but this film removes the possibility of that happening.

I think they would aim for at least 3-4 monsters for the next one. I think they might bring back one classic monster, I don't know who. As far as the main villain, it will probably be Destroyah. They brought in the Oxygen Destroyer in the last film, so it ties into his original backstory. Given he is the most powerful monster of Godzilla's foes, he would make for the a great villain for the final film.

@Rick Ace Rhodes:

As far as what could be done with another Godzilla film... I agree that they already have a good set up for introducing Destroyah, but if they really wanted to take this franchise to another level for a big finale, they should go the route of Destroy All Monsters.

They could create some scenario in which a Titan war takes place in the Hollow Earth, and it spreads to the surface. If they did go this route, I would like to see Gigan as the "leader" of the villain Titans. Aside from Ghidorah and MechaGodzilla, Gigan has the most screen time from past films. He'd be more recognized by the casual viewer.

In this Titan war scenario, Kong and Godzilla could once again team up, and add in Godzilla's old buddy Anguirus (who dies in battle eventually, and that fires up Godzilla). On the villain side, Gigan could be of alien origin (like Ghidorah was). Perhaps there is a hidden Hollow Earth tunnel that transports those who pass through to another planet? Gigan could bring Megalon and Orga with him (both fit the "alien" mold).
