Looks promising. Legendary Pictures is behind this which is a huge relief. Although they just released the amazingly awesome Pacific Rim which is so similar I'm wondering if this Godzilla will borrow heavily from what they've already done.

The size for this iteration of Godzilla is almost DOUBLE his largest form of from the Japanese productions. DOUBLE! He is simply massive. 10 Gypsy Dangers would fall in minutes.
With regard to a crossover, I don't see that happening. The tone of Pacific Rim is far different than the tone that will be felt from this one. The level of darkness and despair for this film will probably equal or be even greater than Gareth Edwards' other monster movie, "Monsters". You love this signature.

So what have we learned from this little teaser? * Godzilla, as promised, is much larger than ever before. * We see the carcass(?) of a fallen foe of Godzilla's. Confirming the presence of more kaiju and not just Godzilla taking on the army again. *The tone of the film will likely be very dark, much like the original 1954 Godzilla film, and very much UNLIKE the travesty of 1998. *Godzilla's roar, though basically intact, is quite different... and also quite chilling. *The look from the leaked poster in Brazil seems to match that of Godzilla here. How is Godzilla bigger than the creatures from Pacific Rim? Those were pretty massive. I mean the opening shows a Kaiju dwarfing the Golden Gate Bridge. Make them any larger and they'll seem too big. I think skyscraper height is appropriate. I definitely see some odd proportions going on in these monster flicks though. Like in Pacific Rim the Jaiger (SP?) crushes a car about the size of its fist. Then the next moment it's picking up a oil rig. That doesn't seem right...

That reminds me of fluctuating proportions of Godzooky in the old animated series. Seriously, watch ONE show with Godzooky in it and you find he changes size about 20 times.
