Still find Detective Pikachu to be kind of an odd choice to use for the first live-action Pokemon movie. But nevertheless, I might check it out. I'd have to wait for more to come out before I develop more of an opinion.

Live-action Pikachu looks disturbing. Like one of those botched taxidermies.

Maybe... just maybe... if this does well, Nintendo will become a little more free with their licenses. And hopefully that would lead to something like a Legend of Zelda or Metroid film.
