Superman

He's known to many for his insult comedy routine. For kids of the '90s, he's probably better known as Mr. Potato Head in
Toy Story. For me personally, I'll always remember him for his appearances in several Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello films.

The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

Oh wow. His classic roast stuff is super hilarious. Also he did great in the Toy Story movies and lots of other stuff. R.I.P.

I remember his comedy routines to a certain extent. But as time went on he just became synonymous with Toy Story. He'll be missed

By the early 1960's Don Rickles had one of the edgiest standup routines in comedy. His hook was a well constructed insult. Don would have an opinion about everybody and he even tailored his remarks to appear on television, on a regular basis too.

Never forget that for Don Rickles' generation of comedians, the holy grail was a television show of your own.

Fortunately, Don Rickles had many friends in the world of entertainment. From Frank Sinatra to Johnny Carson. With Don's kind of friends he always found a stage to voice his latest insults. His guest appearances on late night TV were legendary. And, of course, Don was a regular substitute host for Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show.

All the effort finally paid off when Don Rickles got his own TV series in 1976:

"CPO Sharkey", on NBC.

To be a close friend of Johnny Carson was a very special relationship. With both "The Tonight Show" and "CPO Sharkey" both produced from NBC's New York headquarters, Johnny surprised Don one night during the taping of his show because Johnny wanted to who broke his favorite cigarette box:

The clip showing how Don Rickles broke the box is also on YouTube:

Thanks eddstarr. I knew Rickles did a lot of stuff besides talkshows and standup, and I never even heard of that show before!
