My mom once named Goofy as her favorite cartoon character. I'm quite fond of him, too.

Mr Magic wrote : With "The Flintstones" a mega hit in 1960 the studio didn't miss a beat by introducing "Top Cat" in 1961. I'm convinced that what sets "Top Cat" apart fom other cartoons is Character development. Top Cat is a fully expressive character, right down to the voice actor, Arnold Stang. Like all cartoons aimed at a primetime audience, the original Top Cat used an enthusiastic laugh track. So much so that when Top Cat went to syndication, the laugh track was reduced in volume and/or removed entirely. Guess I'm getting a soft spot for ol' Top Cat - the first 50 years are the toughest, lol. |
I liked Top Cat better when he went by the name of Sgt. Bilko and was in Black & White.
The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

After all these years I still get a kick out of Mad Jack's sidekick, Snuk:

@edd:
Top Cat is an easy going, laid back cat and that's what I love about him. "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

Tweety was one of my favorite Looney Tunes characters when I was a kid.
