Well, it's 12:21 AM here, so it's officially TOMORROW I suppose.

Anyway, I've been flirting with this purchase for probably a year or so. It hurts the wallet, but it should be a big help to us.

80sxchange.com is a fairly simple site by design, but contains many pages of information and a forum to boot. It was the creation of Sal C., who began the site in 2000. So this site is 15 years old, aged just right for Google. It gets about 10 times the traffic we get in a month.

80sXChange is in the number one spot on Google for the search terms "80s Forum".

This will benefit us more than anything we've done to bring in visits, I believe. With strategically placed banners/links to RetroDaze, we should get some new blood visiting the site. People looking to discuss the good old days. This is my hope, anyway. It may not look like much, but the site commands respect from searches and will provide us a valuable stream of visitors who are genuinely looking for what it is we offer.

Lastly, the site is a piece of internet history. It predates even RetroJunk and many other "retro" sites, and it's an honor to be able to own such a place on the web.

It hurt Sal to part with it, but he has moved on to other interests, and just did not have the time to invest in it to make it better. He will still be around on the forums there, and will be helping me make some necessary changes/updates.

Here's to the hope of making this new addition a blessing for us here.

That's the first I've heard of this site. But if it takes a top spot in Google search results, then this sounds like a good deal.

Sounds good. RetroDaze is already a growing nostalgia site and this will help the place even more.

Is the forum still busy in terms of activity? It was a trip looking at the related websites section. A bunch of cool looking obscure sites, all 404'd now haha

We need to buy RJ while we're at it.

Gee, the lack of humility before retro that's being displayed here... uh, staggers me.
