Well, I've once again over-thought. I once wrote a six page paper on a twelve word poem. So, we're looking pre-1980 then.

I believe pre-1979 if we're going by the Swirling Star logo as the "bow wrapped around a sun". I would have guessed one of the years when The 1975 Tom and Jerry Show was on the air, but I think the clue just refers to Hanna-Barbara as a whole.

For that logo, for sure. But Ajimbo pretty much nailed it with Sunbow Entertainment. Founded in 1980 by Tom Griffin and Joe Bacal. Surprised I never heard of, or at least registered the name. They are responsible for some great stuff.

Oh, I see then. You're right, that actually does make a lot more sense than what I was guessing.
